Just ordered a meal after reading the excellent reviews, I saw the bad reviews there and thought they must be those people who are never happy with anything so I ignored them and went ahead. I wish I hadnt.

Food was bland , sag bhaji was was creamed like out of a tin and loaded with a buttery sauce.... and the lamb rogan was also almost creamed as well with a slightly vinegary taste .... I considered whether it was off vs this particular chefs style .... although it didnt taste like it was made by a chef or with a particular style. Will never order there again ...

Arrived quickly though that didnt prevent cold hard chappati - very poor !

Poor quality & taste carry dishes, not impressed at all with the staff and atmosphere either... High price - not worth the food, service and atmosphere. There are a much better quality indian food restaurants around at a similar price range. Ordered a 3course dinner, and received only two, the staff claimed that they simply forgot to serve the dessert... Hmmm... not only for myself but for every single one at our table (there were ten of us dining on that night!)

The place may look good only to those who don't really know the taste of real indian.

Would not recommend, - sorry, - needs a massive improvement of the food quality!

My local Indian, a fact that I'm very grateful for. The staff are always absolutely charming and the food delicious. If you can get a special offer, so much the better, but is pretty good value anyway.

I really must say that this is the worst Indian restaurant that I have ever been to. Whilst the waiter obviously was struggling, for which I would like to give him some lee-way, he didn't seem to comprehend that I wished to order mushroom pilau rice as well as a lamb jalfrezi. I was so narked that I forgot to order my saag paneer; also I was trying to get this order in before the chef went home. When the fish jalfezi arrived, I asked him to take it back but I was impressed that he offered me the lamb from the buffet. However, the lamb was so bony and fatty that it really was inedible as you could have got, and it promptly appeared on the bill. The final straw was the waiter crossing out the "discretionary" from "discretionary service charge". I am sure that this is probably legal (just) nonetheless. No - I can safely say that this restaurant is truly abysmal, and costing about £15 a head for three for us for what was pretty awful cusine (two of us are Indian by the way) and service which was like a grunt like somebody else here observed, I would never go back there again. I hope.

We made a group booking for a friend's birthday. We were a party of 18. We were offered a set, three course meal for £21. On average we had 2 bottles of beer each. You can imagine our surprise when the bill came for £40 per head (2 bottles of beer = £19?). Already, money had been taken from people's cards whilst the bill was being questioned at the other end of the table. The scrawled bill was begrudingly deciphered by the manager to reveal an extra £150 service charge! By this time groups were beginning to leave. The bill was eventually settled and we left with our mood soured. I suppose we wouldn't have minded really, but the food wasn't really that good either. Can think of a dozen better curry houses for food, service and value for money, with none of them adding 25% service charge. Avoid.
