Considered by many to be the greatest chef in Sydney, Chef Tetsuya Wakuda’s restaurant is hard to find a table in because it is so popular. With a very relaxed atmosphere and an excellent wait staff, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who didn’t enjoy themselves after spending an evening here. However, the ambiance really takes a back seat to the food, which can only be described as incredible. A mix of Western and Eastern stylings and a constantly changing menu leave diners hailing Wakuda a genius and for good reason.

This restaurant is a feast for the eyes and senses. I have been addicted to Tet's cooking for many years. He serves a wonderful degustation menu and you have the option to organise your own wines. Service is discreet and knowledgable and I would recommend this restaurant for that special occasion - you will linger for at least 3 hours over the meal. Perfect place for clinching that big deal, proposal, anniversary - you can't beat it. Its is expensive and you have to book in advance but its worth it.

Since moving to London - I do miss it and look forward to a hit every time I come back to Sydney.

The service was certainly good. The signature dish was good but was a bit too salty. There is the ravioli which is a bit blant. Overall, I would say that all the dishes have a bit of twist.

A top Japanese-French Fusion restaurant. The bread for starters is freshly baked and divine. The degustation menu is mostly good; with the most memorable dishes being his signature Trout dish, Wagyu Beef and the fresh Oysters. However a couple of ordinary dishes a thrown in and if u cannot eat certain types of food, it is a must to let the waiter know. Waiters are clinical and formal; but i think it's because it's catered for business types and those who prefers privacy. However, service is close at hand whenever required. Although the average price is about $200 per head (wine not included), it is justifiable considering how technically demanding some of Wakada's dishes are to cook if you tried it yourself. Overall, a must try fine dining restaurant that rates amongst the World's best!

When you've got to wait a few months to get into a place your expectations are pretty high! Fortunately the food was amazing and the service second to none. We even got a kitchen tour when my wife asked how a dessert was made. The waiter said, come with me and let's ask the head chef. Fantastic experience and we would thoroughly recommend it - just make sure someone else is paying for you as it's not cheap!
