We visited on Friday 2 December 2005 for dinner - we had to pour our own wine; a significant amount of water was spilled on the tablecloth by the waiter who filled my partner's water glass; I was left sitting looking around for about 5 minutes clearly looking for service and was unable to catch anyone; then on another occation when we did ask for service we were asked to wait while the waiter served another table. It would appear there was not sufficient staff on the night.
In addition the restaurant was extremely noisy causing us to ask for the bill immediately after finishing the main course and going elsewhere for coffee & dessert. However very soon after the bill folder was placed on the table a staff member was keen to scoop it up before any money was even placed in the folder - a rather embarassing situation.
My first and last experience of this restaurant - overall very disappointing. No wonder it lost it's SMH chef's hat!
